Restylane is used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as folds next to the nose and mouth. Restylane has also been used very successfully for lip augmentation.
Restylane is made of non-animal based hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that exists in the human body and provides volume and fullness to the skin. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane is a crystal-clear gel called NASHA, or non-animal stabilized hyraluronic acid. NASHA is biodegradable and fully compatible with human hyaluronic acid.
Plastic surgeons and dermatologists have used the Restylane dermal filler worldwide since 1996. There is limited risk of animal-based diseases transmission or allergic reaction. Allergy testing is not required. Restylane contains trace amounts of gram-positive bacteride proteins and should not be used by patients with a history of allergies to such materials.
The three types of Restylane are:
- Restylane Silk
- Restylane Lyft
- Restylane Refyne
- Restylane Defyne
“I have been very happy with Dr. Mangubat as a surgeon and his staff. The staff has done a great job in making me feel comfortable about getting this surgery done. They have walked me through what I needed to do throughout the procedure in a way that was easy to understand and made the process feel much more easy going and comfortable for me. Dr. Mangubat’s work was much better than I ever imagined. I am incredibly pleased with the results and new outlook on life he has given me. I don’t believe I could have found a better place to have gotten my surgery done.”
Please note that plastic surgery results can vary for different patients. Every patient is a unique individual and every surgery has unique aspects. Therefore no two surgical procedures will get the exact same results - even if patients are fairly similar and even if the procedures are performed by the same Plastic Surgeon.
